Disclosure Policy

In order to abide by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules, and provide our clients (you!) with the best service possible, we want to disclose any inherent bias we may have. Additionally, we want to make it clear how our website generates revenue so that you feel comfortable using our site.

Ad Revenue Disclosure

We utilize the services of Google AdSense to generate some of our revenue. This is disclosed here as well as in our Privacy Policy. For more information regarding how Google AdSense curates and utilizes ads, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.

Affiliate Link Disclosure

Many of the hyperlinks on our website link to third party consumer sites where you can buy some of our favorite products and book some of our favorite experiences. If you click on these links and/or buy products/services from these links, we may earn a small commission at not additional cost to you.

While we earn a commission, please be assured that we only recommend our favorite travel products, and highlight our favorite experiences (i.e. hotels, tours, and restaurants) on our website. While many of our links are affiliate links, we also hyper-link to websites we do not earn commissions from, in order to provide the most accurate information possible.

While our goal with this website is to provide you with suggestions and recommendations for your own travel experiences, we hold no responsibility for the decisions you make, or the timeliness/ performance/ success of the companies and experiences we suggest. Additionally, any website that we highlight and link to have their own privacy policies, terms of use, and practices. They may collect information or follow different policies than we do, and we are not responsible for their policies.

Reduced Rate Stays

While we pay for our own travel, we will sometimes be given small discounts by hotels when we book for being a part of the travel industry. While these discounts may determine where we stay when we visit somewhere (since we have to pay for the cost of staying!), we always compare the hotel or experience/tour we are staying at/utilizing to other hotels/experiences in the area in order to ensure that if we recommend something it is truly recommendable.

We ultimately only recommend hotels and other services that offer any discounts if we enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to a close friend. In other words, we do not choose which hotels and experiences to highlight on our website based on a discount (we are not paid to give a good review). Our goal is to offer clients our honest reviews and suggestions.

Creative Journeys Travel connects with many of our clients via social media (Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest). When utilizing these platforms, we strive to follow Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations in order to provide our clients with trustworthy advice. The views and opinions expressed on our social media are simply our own opinion, and should be verified with the statistics and facts that come from others.
